Policies for Veterans

The HONOR Act

Honoring Operators’ Necessary & Overdue Retirement
Provides an accelerated retirement path with full benefits for service members in high-risk MOSs (Special Operations, EOD, aviation, etc.), recognizing the extraordinary toll of repeated blast exposure, combat trauma, and operational demands.

The FORWARD Act

Force Readiness & Welfare Annual Review and Dialogue
Creates an annual panel of randomly selected SOF operators and spouses to report directly to Congress and DoD on readiness, family welfare, and systemic issues—ensuring unfiltered truth reaches decision-makers.

The Coming Home Act

Makes post-deployment mental health care automatic, confidential, and mandatory for returning combat veterans. Shifts the question from “if” problems will occur to “when”—and ensures treatment begins immediately.

The ACCESS Act

Alternative & Comprehensive Care Expansion for Service Members
Expands access to alternative and emerging therapies (such as TMS, equine therapy, and psychedelic-assisted treatment) by removing command veto power and funding the full spectrum of evidence-based options.

The Peer Advocacy System (PAS) Act

Establishes a peer-to-peer advocacy network at major installations, led by retired operators and trained active-duty peers. Reduces stigma, improves navigation of care, and provides early intervention for service members and families.

The BRAINS Act

Blast Resilience Awareness in National Service
Requires DoD to recognize and address the risks of repeated blast exposure and sub-concussive trauma. Expands education, monitoring, and care for TBI, PTSD, and related conditions to prevent long-term damage.
