Policies for Family

The INFORM Act

Information for Military Families on Rights & Navigation
Requires mandatory rights and resource briefings for all spouses and dependents at DEERS enrollment and ID renewal. Equips families with critical knowledge on benefits, crisis rights, and confidential help before a crisis hits.

The GUARD Act

Guaranteeing Uninterrupted Access to Resources for Dependents
Mandates sufficient behavioral health providers for children of high-risk MOS families (SOF, aviation, EOD, etc.). Ensures military kids have timely, reliable access to care despite high operational tempos and long waitlists.

The CARE Act

Childcare Access for Resilience & Equity
Addresses chronic shortages in on-post childcare. Provides funding and policy guarantees so families—especially those in high-tempo units—can access childcare during therapy sessions, medical appointments, or crisis intervention.
